Will Japan ever have the opportunity and "right" to develop aircraft carriers?

Well, well the word forever seems kinda permanent I think but they knew what they were signing i'm sure. That said, "If" it comes to a point in the future a war is evident I don't think larger ships would make a difference because now a days nuclear weapons can destroy just about anything. Japan is a strong alli of the US & I seriously doubt anyone will mess with them before thinking twice what the consequences would be. We have a lotta nukes. Okinawa is a nice island.
