What are the units for connected load and where do you find it in a set of blueprints?

I am doing a project in school for construction management. We were given a set of drawings and specifications and a list of things we have to find. I have no experience in electrical work and I am lost. Where would I find the total connected load to the main panel and what would the units be? The only thing I can find that looks like it my pertain to this is a table titled "estimated load tabulation for power company and the units are KVA???? The total fotr the bbuilding is 56.3. Am I looking in the right spot? someone please help. Thank you.
