I think that you should know that Porfirio Diaz was challenged by Madero after being reelected several times without having real popular elections (he governed during 30 years). When Madero called people to fight many people became leaders in different parts of the country, among them Emiliano Zapata y Pancho Villa. Madero finally quit and was exiled to France and Madero became president in 1911, but revolution wasn't over. Many people was against Madero, especially the foreign investors, so he was killed. Victoriano Huerta became president now. Anyway, people didn't agree with that either, war continued. After a meeting of all the revolutionary groups Venustiano Carranza became president, in 1917 there was elaborated a new constitution because of all the missing aspects of the previous one. The war ended until 1920 though. In 1920 Alvaro Obregon became the new president.In 1924 Plutarco Elias Calles became president. From 1928 to 1934 there were 3 presidents: Emilio Portes Gil, Pascual Ort�z Rubio y Abelardo Rodr�guez. In 1934 Lazaro Cardenas became the president on a Mexico that had been rebuilding and growing again despite the interventions from American and British industrials that cared only for their own interests. The country had also been growing in the cultural aspect and Cardenas worried about taking education and a better life to all the people in all the country. In 1938 after workers going on strike due to the low salaries he declared that Mexico's oil belonged to Mexico and expeled the American and British. After that the country continued growing and trying to survive despite all the national and international predators that prey upon it
