Can Guinea Pig's P Disease or Infection's To Dog's?.?

My dog is an american eskimo and i want a guinea pig but one of my concern's is if my guinea pig is sick or has a disease can my dog get the disease or get sick to because of the guinea pig?. Please answer this ASAP. Thank You
